TWO friends from Bradford are preparing for the biggest challenge of their lives.

Chris Nicholl and James Tordoff, from rowing team Hell Oar High Water, are taking part in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge this December – a 3,000 mile row from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean.

Chris and James are aiming to raise money for three charities; the automotive charity, Ben; Centrepoint, which supports young homeless people and the Neonatal Unit at Bradford Hospital.

They are being backed by Leeds-based Pure Technology Group (ptg).

James said: "Motivation isn't an issue for Chris and myself, but the support that ptg have shown us and our chosen charities really reminds us why we've chosen to take on this challenge. We're immensely proud to be doing it to help those in need."
