THE new La Fronda shop and cafe celebrated its grand opening today.
The-family run chocolate shop opened its doors in the former Thornton’s unit on Market Street at the end of 2017, but has moved further down to a new spot in the Wool Exchange, opposite the former Five Guys unit.
The new location means the business has been able to open a Middle Eastern coffee lounge on the upper floor.
La Fronda is known for its range of delights and delicacies including chocolates, dates, baklava, Turkish delight, plus Turkish tea and coffee.
Owner Sabeha Ibrahim said the team were really happy with the move, which she said came about as a lot of people were wanting to try the drinks on offer, but the old unit did not have the space for a seating area.
Various Middle Eastern drinks are available, from Turkish coffee to mint green tea, apple tea and pomegranate tea.
Looking ahead, La Fronda wants to give people the opportunity to rent the space for different events.
