A BRADFORD art lecturer has spent the summer working at a world-renowned art festival, where she has a fellowship.

Carole Griffiths, who lectures at Bradford College, has been at the Venice Art Biennale, a famous contemporary art exhibition held every two years and attracts millions of visitors from around the world.

Ms Griffiths was selected for a fellowship at the festival, conducting research and helping visitors understand the artworks.

Open from May to November, the Biennale has taken place in Italy’s floating city since 1895, with countries having their own pavilions. Ms Griffiths was on the British pavilion, engaging visitors in the British artworks.

A sculptor by trade, Ms Griffiths saw off fierce competition to be chosen for the fellowship.
