ILKLEY Open Market welcomes two new traders this summer including Burley-in-Wharfedale natural sausage company, Primal Cut, who specialise in natural and gluten-free sausages.

The family-owned business is run by Michael and Kate Oliver who have traded in sausage production since 2017.

The company is certified by Coeliac UK and produce a range of gluten free products made from free range pork and local ingredients to cater for a wide variety of dietary needs.

Owner, Michael Oliver said: "We want to offer people an alternative to what they can find on the supermarket shelves. We give you the choice to eat delicious food which is healthy and nutritious for the whole family, so even if you have special dietary requirements, all can enjoy the same meal."

The market also welcomes florist, Angela Naylor, who has been trading at Ilkley Open since March.

Local shoppers can enjoy the convenience of a local delivery service within a ten mile radius of Ilkley.

Keighley Market also has a new florist who began trading this month. Rachel Pickering, who has been in the trade for over ten years, specialises in bespoke wedding flowers.

Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Regeneration, Planning and Transport said: “It’s fantastic news for the people of Ilkley and Keighley to have new traders on board at their local markets, they are both great towns to visit. A new product offer always helps us to diversify the range available in our markets and encourages more local shopping.

“We are really pleased to see the retail offer in our markets going from strength to strength.’’
