BRADFORD’S independent Trapezium gallery has a new photography exhibition from Saturday to August 24, highlighting the stress human activity is putting on the Earth.

Everything is Enviro-Mental involves three local photographers, Barbara Sheldrake, Jo Newbury and Mark Lunn, looking at how people pollute the environment through irresponsible tipping and how some of this trash can be used as art, to illustrate the damage.

“With all the beauty in Britain why are we being blighted by the brazen practice of fly tipping?” said Barbara.

“We need to look after our beautiful landscape. I found 18 areas within a five-mile radius of my home town that were strewn with rubbish, the majority household waste. Why are we turning our Britain into a tip?”

The gallery is based on Kirkgate.
