Pudsey Park is set to bloom even more this Summer with an extra cash boost from its ward councillors.

The funds, granted through Leeds City Council's wellbeing fund, will go towards additional litter collections over 10 weekends, including the warmer weekends in September through to March next year.

Councillor Trish Smith (Cons, Pudsey) said: “The local park is a real asset to our community, so it’s really important that we keep it looking at its best.

"People get huge benefits from using Pudsey Park, both in terms of families accessing the play areas and visitors finding quiet spots to relax and enjoy the outdoors.”

Just over £1,000 has been awarded for the project.

A Saturday litter pick costs £49.20 per session and £65.82 on a Sunday.
