SHIPLEY based bakery Just Desserts has strengthened its team with a trio of new bakers to support rising sales and its business expansion plans.
Johanna Wilton, John Mahony and Stefan Carey-Harrington will be mixing up new and old favourites - from cornflake tarts and chocolate puddings to fudge cake.
Johanna, who fell in love with baking whilst at university, joins the team with a BA in Creative Advertising.
John started his bakery career as an apprentice baker at Morrisons and joins from Bradford's Hughes Family Bakers.
Stefan, who also began as an apprentice, has worked in both Sainsburys and Waitrose.
The family run bakery has enjoyed a 38 per cent increase in like for like sales against last year. MD James O’Dwyer said: “We are delighted to expand our bakery team with these three new talented appointments. We are enjoying a strong period of growth across the bakery, but particularly in the dessert bar and take home market. where our individual desserts are becoming increasingly popular with caterers."
