Stanningley Bypass to close due to hot weather damage
A section of Stanningley Bypass will be closed off this Saturday after the hot weather caused damage to the carriageway.
The works are set to take place just after the Owlcoates slip road with traffic diverted and rejoining the bypass at the Richardshaw junction.
Councillor Simon Seary (Cons, Pudsey) put out the word with the repairs taking place from 7am to 4pm.
He said: "The defect has potential to cause severe health and safety issues for road users and/or result in a serious accident."
