A BRADFORD social housing group has scooped a ‘best employer’ award.
Incommunities received the accolade, in recognition of its commitment to apprenticeships, from Askham Bryan College.
Several of the group’s horticulture and land trainees are studying for NVQs at the college, near York.
“We are delighted to win this award,” said Tony Thompson, Incommunities’ construction skills training manager.
“Investing in high-quality apprenticeships lies at the very heart of our organisation’s training and development work and this recognition from our learning partners is a welcome boost for the
programme.
“It is very rewarding to see our students grow and build their skills through the college-based learning at Askham Bryan.”
Incommunities currently trains 40 apprentices in a range of construction and estate skills.
Adam Williams, of Askham Bryan, said the award reflected the belief Incommunities had in its apprentices.
