Agency For Good Ltd, an ethical digital marketing agency, won the New Business of the Year award, encouraging people to make “real change” together.

The award, sponsored by Bradford BID, focused on companies which showed imagination, sound planning, exceptional marketing and great delivery.

Director Rich Sutcliffe says the company is at the forefront of creating more social impact with over 42 organisations already benefitting from free marketing strategies and training.

The Baildon-based director described feeling "shocked" when he collected his award with his wife, Vicky.

He told the Telegraph & Argus: "For Bradford there's a lot of social good.

"I've lived in and around Bradford - it's great.

"When people work together you make real change.

"It's massively diverse.

"The idea for this company stemmed from wanting to do something worthwhile with the rest of my time here on the planet.

"I looked at all my skills and how I could use these to create my impact on society and the world to really make it a big vision."

The director is on the Northern MAX2 Accelerator Programme, designed to support a limited number of start-ups in the Leeds City Region.

As part of this, profits are already 70 per cent over his forecast with continued growth predicted within the next year.

The team provides full-service digital marketing services to socially responsible for-profit businesses and use any profits to subsidise work with non-profits, including digital workshops.

The MD previously worked in marketing for 12 years before taking inspiration from his work with start-ups, small businesses and from working in the third sector.

Mr Sutcliffe said: "I'm going to be able to help more people and getting the word out because at the moment there's this sense that it's too good to be true.

"That's my biggest barrier.

"But hopefully this will show people that this actually is doing things for the right reason."

Runners-up for the award included Toucan Creative Ltd, a design agency based in Bradford, and Ducklings and Dolphins which offers a fresh new style of teaching swimming for children.
