The winners will secure their place in local history by being admitted to Bradford Museums’ Photo Archive, alongside those of renowned iconic Bradford photographers such as C H Wood, Christopher Pratt and Ian Beesley.

The museum is looking for photos of people - selfies, friends, colleagues, individuals, small groups, in costume, in uniform, Sunday best or casual wear, funny or serious, outside or inside.

Details such as the pose, the expression, the location or background could make all the difference to clinching the top prize.

The judging panel will be made up of photo archive and museum curatorial staff and renowned Bradford photographer, Ian Beesley.

A fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, Ian is currently photographer in residence for the Born in Bradford project and Yorkshire Water.

Entry details are on the events page of the museum’s website: bradfordmuseums.org and it costs £10 to enter.

Councillor Sarah Ferriby, Executive Member for Healthy People and Places, said: “We are thrilled to be offering people the chance to win great prizes and be displayed alongside some iconic photographers at the Industrial Museum.”

All entries must be received by 11.59pm on August 10.
