TWO people have been arrested over an incident earlier this month where swan eggs were stamped on and destroyed in Shipley.
A pair of nesting swans had been deliberately disturbed from their nesting spot by the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, near Dockfield Road Shipley, and their eggs smashed at some point between July 2 and 4.
Police launched an investigation into the crime, and officers from Shipley Neighbourhood Policing Team identified two suspects in connection to the incident.
The two people were arrested in relation to the incident, and have since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101, quoting crime reference number 13190347306.
