THE cost of setting up a sex establishment, scrap metal dealership or street stall in the Bradford District is due to rise.
Bradford Council has approved a two per cent rise in the costs of a number of business licences in line with inflation.
The changes, which apply to sex establishments, street traders and scrap metal dealers, were discussed by the Council’s Regulatory and Appeals Committee yesterday.
Members were told that fees had not risen since 2016.
Cost of licence for gambling businesses in Bradford to riseThe cost of applying for a sex establishment, such as a sex shop or “sex cinema” will rise from the current cost of £1,967 to £2,006.
A commercial street trading consent will go from costing £470 a week to £479, with the annual fee rising from £2,089 to £2,131.
A daily licence will rise from £100 to £102.
The cost of a scrap metal site licence will rise from £354 to £361, with the cost of a collectors’ licence rising from £204 £208.
