Bradford's largest medical practice, The Ridge, is set to bring all of its operations under one roof after securing a new funding package.

The Ridge Medical Practice will merge its existing management centre with its Paternoster Lane surgery after acquiring a site on Cross Lane, Bradford.

The deal means the practice will be able to provide additional floor space, enabling an increased range of medical services provision to its patients. It has also been prompted by the huge increase in Bradford's city centre population over the last few years and demand upon the practice services.

Nick Nurden, practice manger or The Ridge Medical Practice, said: "The move and new practice is a direct response to the significant demand from our patients and will be designed to meet the needs of the growing local population.

"It will be great to be able to combine our current operation to one location and be able to offer patients state of the art modern facilities.

"It will also provide the ideal facilities to continue to train doctors and medical students that we have regularly as a training practice."

The Ridge Medical Practice currently has over 17,000 patients and employs a total of 75 staff, of which 19 are GPs and 12 are nurses.

The deal came about after The Ridge Medical Practice secured a funding package from The Royal Bank of Scotland's healthcare team.
