A BRADFORD-based quantity surveyor has smashed his fundraising target after completing the gruelling 42-mile Lyke Wake Challenge across the North York Moors.
Mark Hill, of construction firm Lane End, raised £1,700 and had been in training since the New Year.
“It’s the biggest, longest and hardest run I’ve ever done,” said Mark.
“Completing the Lyke Wake Race has been a personal goal of mine for some time and I’m delighted that I completed the course in good time.” Money raised will be donated to Lane End New Beginnings, a social enterprise which is part of the Lane End Group of companies which gives back to the communities where they build.
Mark has set his sights on another challenge, the Yorkshireman off road marathon.
