Road partially blocked in Newton Aycliffe following a two-car collision
A ROAD is partially blocked in Newton Aycliffe following a two-car collision.
Police are at the scene on Burn Lane where a Seat has collided with a Mercedes near the roundabout joining Westmorland Way.
A spokesman for Durham Police said: "Police were called just before 4.30pm to reports of a collision on Burn Lane, in Newton Aycliffe.
"A silver Seat and a grey Mercedes have collided near the mini-roundabout on Westmorland Way.
"The road is partially blocked and drivers are asked to avoid the area."
It is believed there are no injuries.
The incident is the second collision in as many days in Newton Aycliffe.
Two women remain in hospital following a crash on the A167 yesterday.
