A SCHOOL has retained its Good rating from Ofsted following a recent inspection.
Thackley Primary School was praised by inspectors for raising the standards of children’s writing ability.
Ofsted said: “Teacher have high expectations for pupils and as a result, pupils employ a wide range of vocabulary in their writing.
“Pupils are then given opportunities to apply what they have learned when they write in different areas of the curriculum.
“Leaders were able to show how pupils made strong progress in a range of different subjects.”
To become Outstanding, the school was told to continue to improve attendance figures, and also to continue to improve children’s writing skills so they are as strong as progress levels in reading and maths.
