Two more men today appeared at Bradford Crown Court charged with the murder of Mohammed Feazan Ayaz – bringing the total so far to five.

Junaid Hussain, 37, of Silverhill Road, Bradford Moor, and Raheel Khan, 27, of no fixed address, are accused of murdering Mr Ayaz between June 29 and July 2, 2019, at Unit 2, Denholme Business Centre, in Halifax Road, Denholme.

No bail applications were made and the men were remanded back into custody by the Recorder of Bradford, Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC.

Jonathan Sharp, for the Crown, said they would join the timetable already set for the case. A plea and trial preparation hearing has been fixed for August 9 and a trial lasting up to three months will begin on January 2.

Judge Durham Hall asked if any more accused were set to come to the court.

Mr Sharp told him: “None are presently in the system but enquires continue.”

He added: “I don’t have any indication of any immediate events.”

Five men have now been charged with murder and a man and a youth aged 16 with assisting an offender by helping to dispose of Mr Ayaz’s body.

The court heard that the Crown had instructed Richard Wright QC to lead the prosecution case.

Mr Sharp said that enquiries were ongoing as to charges of assisting an offender. Between two and four more people were “anticipated” to face that allegation.

Mr Ayaz was found dead in Saffron Drive, Allerton, on July 1.

On Monday this week, those charged in connection with the case began arriving at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court to be sent to the crown court soon afterwards.
