THE three clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) in Bradford district and Craven have been rated as performing well by NHS England.

NHS Bradford City CCG and NHS Bradford Districts CCGs were both rated as outstanding, while NHS Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven CCG was rated as good.

It follows an assessment of the organisations’ leadership, financial position and performance against the NHS England Improvement and Assessment Framework (IAF) key indicators, as well as improvements made across a number of clinical indicators.

Helen Hirst, Chief Officers of the three CCGs, said: “I am delighted that the work of all three CCGs has been recognised in these ratings.

"This is reflective of the hard work of staff, GP members, partners and local people in planning and delivering, high quality services that are fit for the future.

"We only expect these ratings to improve as we work hard over the next year to create one new CCG for our area.

"This will put us in a better financial position by saving approximately £1m which will be reinvested in patient care.”
