A BRADFORD couple have just celebrated 68 years of marriage, with the pair sharing plenty of sporting interests.

Ken and Edna Haran, 91 and 93 respectively were both born in Manningham and met while Ken was cleaning windows there.

They married at St Paul's Church in Manningham on July 7, 1951, and were soon off to Heaton, where they lived for over 40 years.

They now live in sheltered housing in Cullingworth and are very proud of their three children, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Joshua and Rosie.

The couple's daughter, Jean Holmes, said: "They've always done most things together and love horse racing and football.

"They like all teams really but were fans of Manchester United when Alex (Ferguson)had them. Ronnie O'Sullivan is their favourite snooker player too.

"They've still got their double bed and if they had new legs they would still be out and about.

"They love family life and they've been wonderful parents, grandparents and great-grandparents."

Granddaughter Katie Bache sent in the photo of the loving couple.
