This week’s Remember When focus is on the thriving village of Lidget Green, steeped in history, with a heart-warming sense of community.
The area took its name from a farmstead in the adjoining village of Clayton, which was called Lidget, a name having indicated loud or roaring water, or the gateway to the people's well.
Sadly, there is no longer any 'green' in Lidget Green, but the name remains to confirm the village's identity.
