A YOUNG Bradford gymnast is heading to Austria to represent his country for the first time.
Ethan Aspinall, who turns 11 today, has been selected to take part in the week-long World Gymnaestrada event which begins on Sunday in the Austrian city of Dornbirn.
The festival is non-competitive, but it it is the first chance for Ethan to represent Team GB.
A Bradford Christian School pupil, Ethan is from Thackley, and trains with Saltaire Gym Club, three to four times a week.
The youngster who only took up gymnastics in July 2016, has already competed in regional and national tumbling and acrobatics competitions.
In May last year he won bronze in the national acrobatics competition for British gymnastics, representing Yorkshire.
Ethan told the Telegraph &Argus that he really enjoys doing tumbling and round-offs and that he hopes to compete in the Olympics one day.
