INVEST in Bradford Business and Enterprise Europe Network is holding a business breakfast networking session in Ilkley.

The event will discuss ‘growing your business through social media and marketing’ and takes place at Craiglands Hotel, Ilkley on Tuesday, July 9, from 7.30am to 9.30am.

The aim of the event is to encourage and inspire local companies to explore how they can grow their business through the effective use of social media and marketing. It will also provide the opportunity for businesses to network and meet experts.

Business advisers from Bradford Council will be available to give information and answer questions about business support, grants, expansion and growth as well as the grant funding and finance available to the business community.

Helen Rhodes from the Ilkley BID will kick off the event and welcome attendees. Rachel Hatfield and Chris Morris from Ilkley-based social media agency, Shoo Media, will talk about Facebook Adverts, giving information about how to create a Facebook Pixel and advanced campaigns.

This will be followed by Shona England-Lees from Approach PR, another Ilkley-based company, who will talk people through LinkedIn, social media content and the benefits of integrated campaigns.

Gary Humphrey from digital marketing company LOCALiQ & the Telegraph and Argus will bring the formal element of the event to a close with a series of questions asking – do you know the best time to post? Do you know who to target? And can you really measure the results? Are you skilled in all three to make social media work for your business?

Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw, Bradford Council’s executive member for Regeneration, Planning and Transport, said: “Social media is an important tool for businesses of all sizes and learning how to use it effectively can really help businesses succeed.”
