JUDITH Cummins, MP for Bradford South, visited Knowles Court Care Home in Holme Wood to help celebrate Care Home Open Day.
She met with home manager, Sara Scott, as well as residents of the home to discuss the care and support they receive. She was joined by Tong community organiser Tom Hughes.
Earlier this week at Parliament, Judith said the Government’s aspiration to make us the best country in the world for dementia care “must be met with action and funding to make it a reality.”
Care Home Open Day is in its 7th year, and it encourages homes to open their doors to showcase the support that they can provide.
Judith Cummins MP said: “It was a pleasure to visit Knowles Court Care Home today. I was particularly interested in seeing the memory unit that cares for those living with dementia. It was a pleasure to meet the residents and staff.”
Sara Scott, Home Manager of Knowles Court said: “Care Home Open Day is a great opportunity to bring the local community together and to celebrate the exceptional care that is delivered locally each day. We were honoured to be joined today by Judith Cummins MP, which made the day extra special.
“At HC-One, we are passionate about being at the centre of the local community and the team at Knowles Court are committed to providing a range of great activities for our Residents.”
