THIS police care drove off with gleaming livery after contributing to the coffers of a car wash fundraiser in the city on Saturday.
Bierley Court Residential Home held the car wash to raise funds for a wheelchair-adapted car to support more residents.
It will help them to get out and about without having to pay for mini cabs, offering them more freedom and flexibility.
Staff, family, residents and the local community all helped in the four-hour event in the red hot heat.
Organisers said they were delighted even the local police force stopped by to show their support.
The event raised just over £200.
