ORGANISERS of Bradford Literature Festival spent yesterday making final preparations for this weekend’s family fun.

This past week the large domes that make up the festival's hubs have been installed in City Park. They will provide a base for ticket sales, as well as a pop up book shop selling some of the works being discussed during the 10 day festival.

First up today is the festival’s Superheroes Day. Youngsters are encouraged to put on their super suit and fly into City Park for an amazing day of superhero performances, displays and workshops.

At 10.30am, 1.30pm and 3pm, those attending can hunt for a hero with Wrongsemble Theatre, in an interactive mission to save the planet from peril called I Need a Hero.

Between the shows, at 11am, 2pm and 3.30pm, kids can throw on a mask and adopt a secret identity, and join the Wrongsemble cast for a theatre workshop: Superhero Bootcamp.

At the various workshops, they can design superhero nightlights, construct paper flying superheroes or unleash their creativity and make their own superhero capes.

There will also be a screening The Incredibles 2 on the big screen at 11.30am.

The following day, the kids can go on an incredible voyage in Into the Jungle.
