POLICE and partner agencies will be in Bradford city centre tomorrow to raise awareness of the criminal and sexual exploitation of children.
The partnership event, part of West Yorkshire Safeguarding Week, takes place in the Broadway Shopping Centre between 12pm and 4pm and will feature representatives from some of the agencies who work together to protect children from exploitation in Bradford district. The event is open to all, and it is hoped that parents and carers in particular will come along to find out more about how to spot the signs of exploitation and how they can report it.
Det Chief Insp Steve Greenbank, West Yorkshire Police’s child safeguarding lead in Bradford, said: “Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and we encourage people to come along to this event.”
