BRADFORD South MP Judith Cummins has called on the Government to do more to help those who care for people living with dementia.
Ms Cummins spoke during the Dementia Debate in Parliament and used her speech to pay tribute to the thousands of carers that look after their loved ones.
She said: “I want to pay a heartfelt tribute to the many thousands of carers in this country that provide a selfless service looking after their loved ones, and they deserve our utmost respect.
"But I am concerned that carers do not receive the support they need, both in terms of practical and financial help.
"It is to be welcomed that the Government is aiming to make the UK the best country in the world for dementia care, but this aspiration must be met with action and funding to make it a reality.”
