PLANS to turn an ice cream parlour into a bakery and cafe have been approved by Bradford Council.
A previous application to convert the Frostyz store on Otley Road in Undercliffe had also included a takeaway element, but had previously fallen foul of planning officers who refused the plan.
They argued the takeaway element went against the Council’s policies of not allowing takeaways to open within 400 metres of a school, children’s centre or sports facility.
Earlier this year a new application was submitted by S Ghafaripour for the unit that removed the takeaway element.
This was enough to gain support from planning officers and highway’s officers, who approved the application this week.
