LATEST: A heatwave is on its way for the weekend after wet start to the week

THUNDERSTORMS are forecast to hit the Bradford district tomorrow.

A yellow weather warning is in place for much of the UK from 12 noon until 11pm.

A Met Office spokesperson said: "Whilst some places will remain dry, thunderstorms may break out in some places during the afternoon and evening.

"Western parts are perhaps most likely to be affected by thunderstorms.

"In a few places as much as 20 mm rain could fall in an hour and close to 30 mm rain may fall in a couple of hours."

A warning had been in place for the district from 3pm today, but that has now been lifted.
