POLICE arrested three people after a man was injured in an affray in Cleckheaton this afternoon.

Officers were called to Whitcliffe Road at about 1.29pm to a report of an affray incident involving a group of people.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said officers attended and following enquiries arrested three persons on suspicion of offences including robbery and affray.

A 63-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries to his hand.

The spokesman said enquiries remain ongoing into the circumstances of the offence.

The injured man was reported on social media to have been a taxi driver.
