A MAN has been injured after being trapped underneath a vehicle in Eccleshill this afternoon.

A spokesman for Bradford fire service said that a crew used hydraulic equipment to free the man in the Harrogate Road area.

He was then taken to hospital by ambulance.

A spokesman for Yorkshire Ambulance Service confirmed that they had attended an incident in the area.

An eyewitness that said land ambulances, an air ambulance and police were at the scene.

She had heard that a car or four-wheel-drive vehicle had crushed the man near Eccleshill Community Hospital.

Police said they were called to the incident at 4.35pm.
