A FUN day is going to bring the world of music and politics together.

Clwyd South Constituency Labour Party Women’s Forum has organised a 'Music, Politics and Fun Day' on June 29 at Brymbo Sports and Social Club on Heritage Way, Brymbo.

The day is being organised to raise funds for Wrexham Foodbank, The WINGS Project Wrexham and Clwyd South Women’s Forum.

A spokesman for the forum said: "We have some fantastic national and local performers and speakers as well as stalls, including caterers, face painting and children’s activities.

"We are so pleased to be welcoming such brilliant music acts as Jess Silk, Phil Odgers from The Men They Couldn’t Hang, Joe Solo and Freeborn Rising, as well as well known political commentator Peter Stefanovic."

She added: "We are also proud to be hosting local poets Evrah Rose, David Subacchi, Lisa Rossetti and Lara Edwards, as well as additional music from Sons of Saints.

"Jess is a singer songwriter from the Black Country who has been writing since her teens, she has been likened to Billy Bragg and is a fantastic artist.
