SCORES of people went along the first ever food fair at Country Harvest, near Ingleton.

The four day event took place in a marquee and featured a master class with television’s MasterChef winner Irini Tzortzoglou, a fun bake off with Great British Bake off contestants Howard Middleton and Sandy Docherty; sausage making, a pie tasting event, cookery demonstrations by Yorkshire Food Finder Sue Nelson, and cocktail making with Andy Howitt from Yorkshire Dales Distillery.

There was also a performance by the Leyland Brass Band and a Junior Bake Off competition.

Mike Clark, owner of Country Harvest, said: “Although the weather wasn’t kind to us on the Saturday we still had hundreds of people visit our marquee over the weekend and there was an amazing atmosphere. I’d really to thank everyone who visited, all the food traders and people who did masterclasses for us which made it such a great event. Also, a huge thanks to our sponsors, Leisure Resorts."
