ARMED police swooped on Manningham Sports Centre on Wednesday afternoon after reports a gun had been found in a bag.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said officers safely recovered the weapon, which was found to be a gas-powered BB gun.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm in a public place and was later released under investigation.
The parent of a student at the One In A Million School said the incident involved a teenager at the school.
A spokesman for Bradford Council, which runs the sports centre, said: “As with any incident which is the subject of an on-going police investigation it would not be appropriate to make any comment until its conclusion.”
A spokesperson for the school said it had no comment.
