COUNCILLORS will decide whether to introduce parking restrictions at a Lidget Green cul-de-sac.

Bradford Council had received reports that refuse collection vehicles had struggled to navigate through Hilton Avenue and a cul-de-sac called Hilton Grove due to cars parked on the narrow roads.

On Wednesday Bradford Council's Bradford West Area Committee will discuss plans to introduce double yellow lines on the four corners of the roads' junction.

One resident has objected, saying it would make parking for residents harder.

Their submission to the Council said: "The yellow lines will remove on-street parking for the residents.

"Not every house has adequate parking spaces for the number of vehicles at the residence so many use Hilton Road to park."

But highways officers will urge members of the committee to ignore the objection and push ahead with the new traffic order.

The committee meets in City Hall at 6pm on Wednesday, and will be discussing a number of different traffic orders in the constituency.
