A DRIVER who failed to understand the basic rules of insurance and a licence had his car seized yesterday.
The vehicle was spotted on the M62 J26 East at Chain Bar by the West Yorkshire Police - Roads Policing Unit.
The driver was not shown on the insurance, and stated that he had his own insurance on another car.
Unfortunately for him, that was scrapped six months ago so was invalid.
It was also shown that he still only had a provisional licence. Despite passing his test 17 years ago, he had never applied for a full licence.
Unsurprisingly the vehicle was seized and the driver was reported.
