A BALLOON release in memory of tragic Leah Barber was held in Shipley last night, on what would have been her 16th birthday.
West Yorkshire Police found a body in the search for the teenager on June 3.
At the time, West Yorkshire Police issued a statement saying: "Officers searching for missing Leah Barber from Shipley have this afternoon found a body of a female in Bradford.
"Leah’s family have been notified and enquiries are ongoing, however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances."
Last night was therefore a celebration of her life and birthday, with biodegradable balloons being released from 6pm on Wrose Brow, at the top of Carr Lane in Shipley.
A large crowd turned out, and sang Happy Birthday and Hip Hip Hooray after letting go of the balloons.
The video was taken and sent in to us by a reader, whose daughter's best friend was close to Leah.
