TWO stalwarts of education in Allerton have been rewarded for their tireless work with invitations to the one of the Queen’s Garden Parties.
Lynn Barrett and Brent Fitzpatrick, chair and vice chair of governors at Dixons Allerton Academy, were invited to Buckingham Palace by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The pair, who are also senior trustees of Dixons Academies Trust, were invited in recognition of their services to education in Bradford.
The Queen holds four Garden Parties a year to recognise and reward the public service of people from across the country.
The trip to the Palace for Ms Barrett and Mr Fitzpatrick followed another Bradford education figure, Julie Warden, who attended a party in May.
