A 24-year-old man was arrested last night in connection with the stabbing of another male in a police incident in Bradford district.
National Police Air Service Carr Gate confirmed on Twitter that their police helicopter assisted West Yorkshire Police with a search in the Keighley area.
IN a statement, West Yorkshire Police said: "Police received a report of a male who was believed to have been stabbed in North Dean Road, Keighley at about 9.10pm yesterday.
"Officers attended and were unable to locate the male.
"While enquiries were being made in the area it was reported that a male of similar description had attended hospital with a stab wound to his leg.
"The injury was not believed to be serious.
"Further enquiries led to the arrest of a 24-year-old man who is currently in custody in connection with this incident.
"A knife has also been recovered for further tests.
"Bradford District CID are continuing enquiries and anyone who can assist is asked to contact them on 101, quoting log 1816 of 11 June, or use www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat
"Information can also be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
