A West Yorkshire Police officer is due to appear in court in Bradford following an Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) investigation into a road traffic collision.
On November 21, 2018 PC Richard Storey was the driver of an unmarked police car, responding to an incident, when it collided with another vehicle on Roseville Road, Harehills, Leeds.
PC Storey’s car then collided with a pedestrian, a 71-year-old-woman, who suffered serious injuries.
The IOPC investigation was completed last month and their evidence referred to the Crown Prosecution Service to make a charging decision.
He has been charged with one count of driving without due care and attention, and is due to appear before Bradford Magistrates tomorrow, June 11.
