THE PATHOLOGY department at Bradford Royal Infirmary organised a charity event in memory of former senior chief biomedical scientist Bill Swainston to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Mr Swainston, who spent 42 years working at the BRI, sadly passed away at the age of 71 last October, but his legacy was celebrated with a fun filled evening at The Harold Club in Low Moor.
There was a band, DJ, auction, a raffle and food.
It was attended by over 100 family and friends and the event raised around £3,000.
