THE team campaigning for the pedestrianisation of Bradford's Market Street will be taking their proposals to a stall in The Broadway next week.

It will be an opportunity for people to discuss the plans, ask questions and make suggestions.

A campaign spokesperson said: ‘We have already received significant support for the idea of pedestrianising Market Street but we are aware that there are people who do have concerns about aspects of the idea.

"We hope that the stall in The Broadway will give people the opportunity to raise any questions they have and to make any suggestions as to how the proposal could be improved or adapted.

"The principle behind the scheme remains to improve the environment in the city centre, encourage investment and provide a high quality, safe public space to be enjoyed by the people of the district and visitors.

"We want to hear people's ideas and concerns about the idea, which has already received a lot of support from the public and business before it goes to the Council in July."

The stall will be near the Debenhams entrance and will be staffed on both June 14 and 15.
