A 29-YEAR-OLD man is behind bars awaiting a long prison sentence for sexually abusing a girl.
Mohammed Miah, of Grosvenor Road, Manningham, Bradford, pleaded guilty to nine offences at Bradford Crown Court yesterday. They included eight charges of sexual activity with a child aged 13 or 14 and one count of making an indecent image.
Judge Jonathan Rose remanded Miah into custody to await sentence on July 23 after the preparation of probation service and psychiatric reports.
“This is a catalogue of appalling offences against a child and only a substantial sentence of imprisonment will suffice.
“There is a risk that you will fail to surrender,” Judge Rose told Miah.
He ordered him to sign on the sex offender register.
