A PCSO was bitten in Bradford city centre while detaining a man over theft and assault offences.
PCSO James Clarke tweeted: "This aft, I became a victim of crime for offences against emergency workers.
"Whilst detaining a male for shop theft & assault on security at Rawson Quarter, the suspect decides to bite me on my hand. He is now in custody."

Meanwhile, the West Yorkshire Police Federation has released its weekly figures for assaults against officers and staff.
They include nine being kicked, nine being grappled, seven punched, five spat at, two bitten and two head-butted.
The successful Protect the Protectors campaign resulted in new legislation being introduced late last year which established tougher sentences for those found guilty of assaulting emergency service workers.
