A MAN whose wife died from asbestos-related disease is urging her former colleagues at a now closed hospital in Menston to get in touch.
Sylvia Wightman died aged 57 from mesothelioma, and her family believe she may have been exposed to asbestos while working as a nurse at High Royds Hospital in Menston between 1980 and 2000.
Her husband Mark Kidder is asking former colleagues to get in touch about if asbestos was used at the hospital, which closed in 2003.
He said: “Mesothelioma has devastated our family.
“We are asking anyone with specific information about asbestos use to get in touch.”
Anyone with details about asbestos use at the hospital is asked to call Thompsons Solicitors on 0113 2056343.
