THE team which helps cardiac patients get back on their feet has been awarded national accreditation for its outstanding service.
The Cardiac Rehabilitation team, based at St Luke's Hospital and Queensbury Health Centre, supports people in the community recovering from heart attacks or surgery.
They have received gold standard accreditation from the National Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation for their work.
Sue Crossley, leader of the team, said: “We consistently deliver a really good service to patients and the accreditation reflects the hard work of every single member of the team.
"They have a real passion and pride for what they do."
The teams work helps patients improve their general and heart health, as well as their wellbeing and emotional needs. It also speeds up recovery and prevents readmissions.
