School leavers looking to get trained in a trade, build a career in construction, score a future in sport or see themselves in a uniformed public services role are invited to a specialist open event at Bradford College.
The college’s Trinity Green campus will throw open its doors on Wednesday June 26, between 4pm and 7pm, to showcase its courses and apprenticeships in all trades subjects - brickwork, carpentry, plastering, plumbing, electrical, engineering, construction management – as well as sport and public services
Visitors will get the opportunity to meet tutors and current students and tour the campus, including the specialist workshops and sports facilities such as the boxing gym where Britain’s double Olympic champion Nicola Adams trained while a student at the college.
There will also be a chance to have a go at hands-on activities including laying bricks, building a bird box and making a plaster cast.
The college offers courses at every level, from entry level right through to higher education degree level and staff will be present on the night to steer guests to the most appropriate course and offer advice on finance and other support.
Anyone interesting in attending the event can book a place via the college’s website, bradfordcollege.ac.uk/trades-open-event.
The Trinity Green campus is on Easby Road, Bradford, BD7 1QX.
