A BRADFORD gallery held an event to celebrate diversity, inspired by its current Paralympic exhibition.
Cartwright Hall has been hosting the Paralympic Stories exhibition, which tracks the history of disability sport, for several weeks.
On Thursday the Lister Park Gallery held a diversity festival, where people were invited to try out disability sports and be entertained by different disability groups.
Mind the Gap, a disability theatre group, showed off their street art performance Mirror Mirror, which features large, mirrored “robots.”
There were workshops and sports sessions throughout the day, held with Bradford Disability Sport and Leisure and Bradford Disability Football Club, and there was music by Mind The Gap musician Jez Colbourne.
There were also appearances by former Paralympic athlete Kevan Baker, wheelchair racer Paul Cartwright, and local athletes that competed in this Spring’s Special Olympics.
The exhibition is a partnership between the gallery and the National Paralympic Heritage Trust. It runs until June 9.
