TWO children were rescued by firefighters last night after falling at Baildon Bank.

Fire engines from Shipley and Bingley attended, along with an aerial platform from Bradford, Cleckheaton's Technical Rescue Unit and a specialist technical rescue officer.

It happened at around 8pm.

A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "A male and a female were trapped on a ledge approximately 21 feet up after falling 10 feet down onto the ledge.

"A two line, line rescue system was set up to lower them to the ground, utilising our Technical Rescue Unit and fire engines that were in attendance, there were no injuries."
